LSAT Course Refund and Cancellation Policy

Subscriptions can be canceled at any time and are not refundable. You keep whatever time you already purchased. For example, if you sign up on May 21st and you decide that you want to cancel on June 2nd, you'll still have access until June 20th. LSAC LawHub Advantage subscriptions are required by LSAC in order to use our course and are refundable only if they have not been activated.

Your LSAT Unplugged membership will continue month-to-month until canceled. To avoid interruption of services, we will automatically renew your subscription and charge the membership fee to your payment method on file each billing cycle until you cancel.

It is the member's sole responsibility to cancel their subscription if they no longer wish to use our services. Cancellation must be done through your account settings on our website or by contacting our customer support via email. Failure to use the service does not constitute cancellation and will not exempt you from payment obligations.

Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds or credits will be provided for partial months of service or for periods where the account was not used but remained active.

Following cancellation, you will continue to have access to our services until the end of your current billing period, after which your access will be terminated.

LSAT Unplugged may at any time revise these Terms of Service by updating this posting without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Site. By using this website, you agree to be bound by any such revisions and should therefore periodically visit this page to determine the then-current Terms of Service to which you are bound. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

Tutoring Terms of Service

Tutoring Service Definition

LSAT Unplugged's Tutoring Services shall consist of remote instruction and, from time to time, other forms of support in order to help the Client prepare for the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT).

Human summary: We tutor. It's online. You know this.

Tutoring Hours, and How They're Serviced

After a Client purchases a 5-Hour, 10-Hour, or 20-Hour Package, the Client is entitled to five, ten, or twenty Tutoring Hours. If the Client purchases a package denominated by some other number of hours—say, N hours—the Client is likewise entitled to N Tutoring Hours. LSAT Unplugged shall service each Tutoring Hour with an hour of Scheduled Simultaneous Instruction. "Simultaneous Instruction" means live remote instruction conducted via Zoom or some other electronic platform, and by a Tutor affiliated with LSAT Unplugged. Something is "Scheduled" if it is conducted in accordance with a plan to which both the Tutor and Client have agreed. LSAT Unplugged is not obligated to provide service that is not Scheduled, although LSAT Unplugged may from time to time be willing to Schedule something on short notice. LSAT Unplugged is not obligated to provide help via email or any means other than Simultaneous Instruction, though LSAT Unplugged may from time to time be willing to do so. In some cases, LSAT Unplugged will deduct the time a Tutor spends on such activities from the Client's Tutoring Hours, though LSAT Unplugged will never do so without the Client's permission. Emails primarily pertaining to the Scheduling of Simultaneous Instruction will never count as Tutoring Hours.

Human summary: If you buy, say, ten hours of tutoring, you get ten hours of live instruction, but you don't get unlimited help via email. We might respond to emailed questions off the clock, but we reserve the right to tell you that our responses will have to be on the clock. Emails about scheduling are never on the clock.

Non-Transferability of Tutoring Hours

The Tutoring Hours purchased by the Client are intended solely for the use of the Client and are non-transferable. The Client may not assign, transfer, or share any portion of their Tutoring Hours with any other individual or entity. Any attempt to transfer or share Tutoring Hours will be considered a breach of these Terms of Service and may result in the termination of services without refund.

Human summary: You can't transfer your tutoring hours to someone else.

Time Period and Scope of Tutoring Services

The Tutoring Services shall expire when LSAT Unplugged has serviced the Client's Tutoring Hours or a year after the Client's purchase of said Tutoring Services—whichever comes sooner.

Human summary: Your hours expire after a year.

Scheduling Considerations

A Scheduled session of Simultaneous Instruction is a Tutoring Session. LSAT Unplugged cannot guarantee the Client more than three one-hour Tutoring Sessions per week unless the Client and LSAT Unplugged make an arrangement for such beforehand. A Business Day is a day that does not fall on the weekend or on an American Federal holiday. LSAT Unplugged cannot guarantee the Client a Tutoring Session on a day that is not a Business Day. If a Client requests a Tutoring Session that has not been previously Scheduled, LSAT Unplugged cannot guarantee that it will be able to accommodate such a request in fewer than four Business Days.

Human summary: We can't guarantee you more than three sessions per week unless you arrange it with us before you purchase. After you initially schedule your sessions with us, we may need about a week's lead time if you need to reschedule. We might not be able to work on weekends or holidays unless you arrange it with us beforehand.

Lateness, No-Shows, and Rescheduling Policy

Unless the Client cancels or reschedules, LSAT Unplugged will deduct the duration of a Scheduled Tutoring Session from the Client's Tutoring Hours, whether or not the Client attends all or part of said Scheduled Tutoring Session. If the Client fails to attend a Scheduled Tutoring Session within 20 minutes of the Tutoring Session's start time, LSAT Unplugged shall consider the Client to be a No-Show and will not continue to wait for the Client. LSAT Unplugged will deduct the full time of the Scheduled Tutoring Session from the Client's Tutoring Hours. LSAT Unplugged requires 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a Scheduled Tutoring Session.

Human summary: We require 48 hours notice to reschedule or cancel a session. If you don't cancel or reschedule, we'll deduct a scheduled session from your total time, even if you're late or a no-show. We'll wait for you for 20 minutes.

Confidentiality

LSAT Unplugged Tutors may share the Client's information with other LSAT Unplugged Tutors or affiliates of LSAT Unplugged for the purpose of better serving the Client. LSAT Unplugged shall in all other respects keep the Client's personal information and test scores confidential unless LSAT Unplugged is compelled to divulge information by a sovereign legal authority.

Human summary: Our Tutors might ask their colleagues for advice. Other than that, everything is confidential.

Timely Replies

LSAT Unplugged will make a good-faith effort to respond to the Client's emails in a timely fashion and within 48 hours of receipt. After a Client purchases Tutoring Services, LSAT Unplugged shall send the Client an Intake Form. Within 48 hours of the Client's completion of the Intake Form, LSAT Unplugged shall match a Client with a Tutor, and the Tutor shall reach out to schedule a meeting with the Client.

Human summary: You'll hear from us within 48 hours of submitting your intake materials.

Refund Policy

LSAT Unplugged does not offer any refunds with the exception of students who meet the conditions of our Higher Score Guarantee and 170+ Score Guarantee. No refunds are provided for unused tutoring sessions or services.

Please note: This refund policy applies to all tutoring sessions, whether used or unused.

Payment Plans

By entering into a payment plan, users agree to pay the full amount in equal, monthly installments until their balance is paid in full. Failure to make payments on time may result in suspension of service or debt collection against the user.

LSAT Unplugged Subscription Sold Separately

A purchase of Tutoring Services does not include access to the LSAT Unplugged LSAT Course or LSAT LawHub Advantage from LSAC.

Attendance Policy

Clients are expected to attend all classes for which they have registered. If a Client misses a class, there will be no makeup class unless otherwise specified by LSAT Unplugged.

Conduct in Class

All Clients are expected to maintain a respectful and professional demeanor during classes, and to abide by our code of conduct. Disruptive behavior may result in the Client being asked to leave without a refund.

Materials and Supplies

LSAT Unplugged may provide certain materials for the class. It is the Client's responsibility to bring any additional supplies or materials as instructed by LSAT Unplugged prior to the class.

Human Summary: We'll give you some materials. Bring anything else we tell you to.

Guarantees

We are committed to helping you achieve your LSAT goals. Our guarantees provide confidence in our programs and a clear framework for eligibility and benefits. Below are the terms for both the Higher Score Guarantee and the 170+ Score Guarantee.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, you must be enrolled in an eligible LSAT Unplugged program, including live online courses or 1-on-1 coaching packages. A minimum of 3 months of participation in the program is required for either guarantee. You must complete the program by attending at least 90% of all scheduled live sessions (95% for the 170+ Guarantee), completing all assigned homework, practice questions, and full-length practice exams, and actively engaging with the program to demonstrate consistent effort and participation. Additionally, you must take an official LSAT within 60 days of completing the program and submit an official LSAT score report showing results before and after completing the program.

Higher Score Guarantee

We guarantee that your LSAT score will improve. If you do not achieve a higher score compared to your most recent official LSAT score or your initial diagnostic test score (if no prior official score exists), you may choose a full refund of your program fee or extended access to live group sessions and prep resources for up to 6 months or until the next LSAT test date, whichever comes first. For students starting with a diagnostic score below 160, we guarantee at least a 10-point improvement.

170+ Score Guarantee

For students with a starting score of 160 or higher, we guarantee a 170+ score. If you do not achieve a score of 170 or higher and at least a 10-point improvement from your initial diagnostic score, you are eligible to receive a full refund of your program fee or extended access to live group sessions and program resources at no additional cost until you achieve your goal.

Documentation Requirements

Submit official LSAC score reports showing diagnostic and final scores. Provide a record of completed assignments, practice tests, and attendance. For the 170+ Guarantee, submit evidence of scoring 170+ on at least two practice exams.

Exclusions and Limitations

Guarantees are only applicable to students who meet all attendance, homework, testing, and documentation requirements. Refunds are limited to fees paid for the LSAT Unplugged program and exclude additional costs such as LSAC registration or materials. Guarantees are not transferable to other exams or programs.

Fair Dispute Process

If you believe you met the requirements but were deemed ineligible, contact us within 14 days for a review.

Good Faith Effort Clause

Students must demonstrate a good faith effort throughout the program, actively participating in classes, completing assignments, and engaging with provided resources.

Other Conditions

Guarantee terms are subject to change. Updates will be posted on the LSAT Unplugged website. All claims must be submitted within 30 days of receiving your official LSAT score.

Chargebacks

In the event that the Client initiates a chargeback dispute with their credit card issuer or financial institution regarding any payment made to LSAT Unplugged under the terms of this Agreement, LSAT Unplugged shall immediately terminate all services provided under this Agreement.
